Stories of Us - March 22, 2019

Partnership Educators,

I am so proud of working for a partnership that always cares enough about the students and families that it serves to take the time to continuously learn.  Thanks for the efforts to look for solutions to learning for all of our kids.

We are Redding, Shasta, and Igo Ono Platina School Districts and we are the best around.  We aren't perfect but we are one unit always looking for solutions to the barriers to learning.

I walked every campus within the past two weeks and am impressed with the strides that we are making in regards to innovation for our students.  We have amazing music students reaching heights in performance art videos and superior ratings in their competitions.  We have student groups developing games that I really enjoyed playing as well as pure joy making solutions in our STEAM lab.  It is amazing listening to first graders, who didn't know spanish, ask their teacher a question in spanish while doing a lesson.  I hear stories of high achieving students who were struggling earlier in the year but schools found ways to help them turn it around.  This is what we are about.  This is the "why" of our mission for learning.

Thanks for your efforts this time of year to push through the difficulties and look for answers to questions with each and every student.   I know March can be challenging but we make a difference in the future lives of our students.  Be the light to their darkness.

I leave you with this video about a system like ours that is always on the hunt for solutions and processes that make a difference.

From a proud member of this partnership,
Rob
