Aligned with our LCAP(Local Control Accountability Plan) we provide a 1:1 student chromebook to grades 4th through 8th grade in the Redding School District. We provide these devices for students to take home and use throughout their time while enrolled in the Redding School District(RSD) as long as a guardian reviews and signs the agreement below. The Students also must attend a special “Do and Don't” class during the first 2 weeks of school each year to raise awareness of proper technology ethics when using these devices.
The goal of the 1:1 program at RSD is to provide opportunities for teachers to engage students, build digital/computer literacy and individualize instruction while creating a learning environment that is consistent with advances in technology and facilitate resource sharing, critical thinking, innovation, research, creativity, communication, collaboration, increased productivity and mobile learning.
