Aeries and Electronic Tools
Hands-on training on accessing Aeries (online grading and student information system) and other online tools for access at home. A discussion about how to use them and an understanding on what it all means.

SESSION 2: September 23 2020 (5:30 to 7:00 PM)
Campus Culture/Campus Tour
Review the goals of Safe and Civil Schools and provide families with an opportunity to observe the learning environment of their child's education.
Topics:
Positive Campus Culture (PBIS), Attendance Campaign, Bullying, Capturing Kids Hearts, SARB Process, Career/Character Traits, Restorative Practices, Behavior policies/routines and techniques, Classroom/School Communications, Parent Permission Slips

Academic Opportunities
Review academic support systems within your child's school and other options.

Instructional Time Frames & Importance of Attendance; Extra Learning Time; Social/Emotional Supports; Extended Learning Program.
SESSION 4: October 7, 2020 (5:30 to 7:00 PM)
Understanding Reporting and Accountability Systems
Provides an overview of site-based, District, and state level reporting systems. Designed to make your child's data meaningful and accessible to families.

Report Cards; Site-Based Assessments; CAASPP, SBAC, ELPAC Test for English Learners.
SESSION 5: October 14, 2020 (5:30 to 7:00 PM)
District Profile and the Engagement Opportunities
Provides an overview of the District Goals that guide student learning and parent engagement opportunities.
Topics:
District Leadership, Core Beliefs, District Goals, LCAP, Parent Teacher Conference, Site Council, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), District Advisory Committee (DAC), English Learner Parent Advisory Committee (ELPAC).
