Partnership Educators,
This week it is with great sorrow that I tell you of a loss to our Redding School District family. A young man who has been at Juniper as an instructional assistant for many years passed away this last week. Alex Mosteller was a kind and gentle soul that was loved by all. A former student at Manzanita, Sequoia, New Tech High School, and a recent Bachelor in Psychology graduate from The University of California at Davis. He worked at the Juniper School in our special needs classrooms. He worked and volunteered at the S.L.A.T.E. Camp for autistic children that he attended as a non-typical camper as a child. His mom shared that he had Aspergers, but he didn't let that limit him. He truly believed that he had a different perspective rather than a disability. He will be greatly missed. Our heart weeps with his family and friends in this time of grief and we pray for comfort for all who knew him.
"Grief is not a disorder, a disease, or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical, and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve." Earl Gollman
Donations can be made to Rowell Family Empowerment, at 3330 Churn Creek Rd., Suite A-1 Redding, CA 96002 in lieu of flowers or other offerings.
Have a joyous weekend,
Rob
