Women's History Month is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history.  From Abigail Adams to Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth to Rosa Parks, the timeline of women's history milestones stretches back to the founding of the United States.

Here are the 12 women who changed the world:

1. Jane Austen ~ “The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”

2. Anne Frank ~ “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

3. Maya Angelou ~ “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
